10 Inch River Sand Pumping Boat Delivered to Liberia

The river sand pumping boat, also known as river sand dredger, is designed and manufactured with steel construction,  non self-propelled model, dis-mountable type which is able to dredge both in the coastal area and inland rivers.

The river sand dredger can be used to excavate and transport cohesive sediment below the class III specification in code for “dredging engineering construction technical specification” issued by Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P.R.China.

The river sand pumping boat consists of a main pontoon and two side pontoons. The construction makes disassemble quickly and easier to transport by road, rail or sea, it is also more convenient to replace at site. Engine and dredging pump are on the main pontoon. Side pontoons could be used as oil storage tank, ballast tank and dry cabin.

The spacious control cabin is ergonomically designed with 360 degree view. All the operation buttons, switches, indicators, gauges are equipped on the control desk. Only two operators can control the dredger in the operation room.

Four layers anti-corrosive marine paint provides the zinc anode protection to improve effect of corrosion for the river sand pumping boat.

Mr. Peter is  from Liberia, who is a professional contractor for construction projects in Liberia. On April 5^th 2021,  we received an email from Peter. There is a river in Liberia as his working site, he wanted to pump sand from the river and used the sand for construction after treatment. He had contacted someone who would provide the sand pumping equipment for filter. Now, he contacted us for the sand dredging machine.

After receiving the email, we sent an email for confirming the detailed working condition with him. Because the engineers needed to know the specific detail to confirm the river sand pumping boat which we supplied is the most suitable type for the customer.

The detailed working condition was as following:

1. Dredging depth( from the water level to the sand bed): 15 m
2. Discharging distance( from the dredger to the stock pile): 400 m
3. Vertical height( from the water level to stock pile): 5 m
4. Sand capacity per hour: 200 m3/h
5. particle size: 10 mm ( sand and small gravels)
6. The sand bed is very loose, so sand is very easy to be jetted up.

According to the information Peter sent, the engineers recommended the 10 inch river sand pumping boat for him, equipped with our 10 inch heavy duty sand pump. The specification of the jet suction dredger is as following:

1. Dredger body: main hull: 6 m * 2.2 m *1.8m, 1 piece.
2. Site pontoons: 8 m * 1.1 m * 1.5 m
3. Sand pump size: 10 inch. Input diameter: 250 mm. Output diameter: 200 mm.
4. Sand capacity: 200 – 300 m3/h
5. Dredging depth: 20 m
6. discharge distance: 400m
7. Diesel engine power : 280 hp (to provide the power for sand pump and water pump )
8. Speed of sand diesel engine: 1800rpm
9. Water pump for jetting sand: 4 inch.
10. Water capacity: 100 m. Head: 50m.
11. Generator power: 50kw, to provide the power for all the electric machine

In order to facilitate the operation and maintenance of customers, we have considered the following aspects in the design of the river sand pumping boat:

1. Operation station: All the electrical parts can be controlled by the operation buttons and handles.
2. Electric winch: 3 sets winch, connecting with the anchor to fix work location and balance while it was working.

After we sent the design specification of the dredger, Mr. Peter said they would need some time to consider and discuss. On Apr. 15^th, 2021, we received the feedback from Peter again. He discussed with his engineers and operators to confirm the design whether it was suitable for them and whether they could operate it smoothly. He also requested us to contact the technician in the workshop who was responsible for loading. The loading engineer calculated the space of all the goods and confirmed that all the goods ordered by the customer could be loaded into 2* 40 HQ containers. After all of his questions has been answered, we signed the order. The total order included one set 10 inch river sand pumping boat, one set propeller, 400m discharge PE pipes and 30 pairs floaters for some pipes. Then, we sent the PI with bank payment information together.

We received 40% advance payment of the jet suction dredger from the customer on Apr. 20th. Then we arranged the production in our workshop. The production time we requested was 25 working days( till to May. 23th). Finally, the river sand pumping boat was completed production on May. 20^th. The sand pumping dredger was finished as scheduled, then we did the running testing next. During the whole texting time, all the engine could be started smoothly and the pump was work well. So, we sent the testing video of the sand dredger to the customer. Mr. Peter was very satisfied with the testing video. On May. 21th, he paid the 60% balance and asked us to arrange the shipment. According to his requests, we booked the earliest containers and vessel for him on 22th. The shipping time is on May 29 th, so we loaded the machine in 25^th.

Then we charged the other things and confirmed the the detailed information of the bill of loading. When all the detailed information was confirmed, we helped Peter do the necessary documents for the customs clearance about this 10 inch river sand pumping boat and pipeline. After the vessel has left the port, we sent him the schedule for reference. “ Nice service and professional support! A pleasant cooperation! Thanks for all the help and kindness!” Mr. Peter said.
