When a mini sand suction dredger is in trial operation, customers usually ask questions about the lubrication system of the whole dredger, such as what kind of oil should be added to the diesel engine, clutch, sand pump, and hoist. Whether it is engine oil or butter, and what are the label restrictions? The technical team of TAIAN OCEAN PUMP summarizes these issues as follows:
- Lubrication system for mini sand suction dredger diesel engine
There are usually two or three sets diesel engines in the entire configuration of mini sand suction dredger, one set diesel engine for sand pumping system , one set diesel engine for high-pressure water pump system and manual winches. And third set diesel engine for propeller. The diesel engine for sand pumping machine and manual winches are medium-speed machines, and the diesel engine for propeller is high-speed machines. These engines need to be filled with diesel engine oil. The specific number of the diesel engine manufacturer will be indicated in the accompanying manual. The label of the engine oil is determined by the temperature and the viscosity of the engine oil in different regions. The basic choices are as follows:
As shown in picture, in the temperate or tropical area, we suggest to choose SAE 15W- SAE 40 grade diesel engine oil. If it is a relatively old diesel engine, choose a higher viscosity engine oil, such as SAE 15W- SAE 50 grade engine oil, which is better to protect the diesel engine and maintain the long-term stable operation of the diesel engine. The filling volume of diesel engine oil is subject to the scale. Usually the scale has the upper and lower limit marks, MIN and MAX. Fill the diesel engine oil to the middle of the scale.
- Sand dredgingpump and high pressure water pump lubrication system for mini sand suction dredger
Sand dredging pumps and high-pressure water pumps are both types of oil lubrication. Because bearing lubrication requirements are relatively small, 32# or 46# general lubricating oil can be considered when selecting oil. 46# oil has a relatively high viscosity. It is suitable for summer or high temperature areas working conditions . When adding oil,need to control the amount of oil. If too much oil is filled in the oil chamber of the sand pump, it will cause the oil temperature in the cavity to be too high, If too little oil is filled in the oil chamber of the sand pump, will cause insufficient lubrication of the bearing. The bearing wears out too quickly, which affects the service life of the sand pump. When the sand pump or water pump runs for 1000 hours, it should be replaced with new oil.
- Clutch lubrication system for mini sand suction dredger
The mini sand suction dredger is equipped with two clutches, which are an indispensable part of the operation of the mini sand suction dredger. The lubrication system of this clutch adopts butter lubrication, and you can choose general lithium grease. Before the equipment leaves the factory, TAI’AN OCEAN PUMP team will fill the clutch with butter. Therefore, the customer only needs daily maintenance. The butter itself is not volatile and the loss is small. The equipment can be filled once a quarter when the equipment is running. The refueling hole is located at a thin tube on the label above the clutch. Just use a grease gun to fill it in. Use a grease gun to hit it twice. It is recommended to use a special butter cleaning fluid to clean the bearing when the clutch is maintained or replaced.
4.Manual winch lubrication system for mini sand suction dredger
The manual winch is mainly used for hoisting the sand suction head and rubber hose. It is composed of a reducer, a drum and a handbrake pad. The lubrication system of the manual winch is a combined form, which is lubricated by organic oil or grease.
The reducer of the manual winch is filled with lubricating oil. The label is the same as the sand pump. We recommended to use 32# and 46#. When filling the oil need to open the upper end cover of the reducer. The filling capacity is subject to the oil dipstick of the reducer.
On the other side of the manual winch, there is a disc bearing that needs to be lubricated. It is lubricated by butter. There is a small hole on the side end cover. Use a grease gun to fill the hole. The filling cycle is the same as the clutch.
5.The lubrication system of the propellerfor mini sand suction dredger
The propeller is an optional part, mainly used for mini sand suction dredger movement, and the driving method is diesel engine. The lubrication of the propeller is oil lubrication, the requirement for lubricating oil is not very high. It is enough to use 32# or 46# oil. The entire cavity needs to be filled before use. If the sound of metal impact is heard when the machine is turned on, It means that the oil filling amount is too low.
6.The lubrication system of mini sand suction dredger
100 hours after the first refueling operation of the mini sand suction dredger. It is recommended that the whole sand suction dredger be replaced with new lubricating oil. During the normal maintenance period, be sure to change the oil instead of filling it. If refilled the engine oil when lacking , the impurities in the engine oil chamber will not be discharged.The newly added oil will not play the role of lubricating the bearing.
