Sand pump dredger is one portable model of our sand dredgers, most used for silt cleaning, sand suction and dredging in river, lake, pond and other place with water source. OCEAN Pump brand portable sand dredger is made by high quality sand pump and industrial-strength floating platforms.
As the most popular sand suction dredger in Africa, high efficiency, convenient transportation and installation are its biggest advantages. All the sand dredger body is made by 6 mm steel plate with 4 layers of paint ( 2 layers of anti-rust paint, 2 layers of anti-corrosion paint ) . The dredger body is designed into box-like structure that can be dismantled, so it can be assembled at working place easily and be transported by road, railway or inside container.
About the movement equipment for the sand pump dredger, there will be the propeller and diesel engine power to push the dredger going forward. Usually, the max. dredging depth will be 15 m and the offshore distance of the portable dredger can get to 200 meters. If it needs a longer distance, there should be a simple pontoon with the booster pump set same as the sand suction pump set. Now, we do a new design of the sand pump dredger body, from the 5.8 m * 4.2 m * 1 m changing to 6.8 m * 4.2 m * 1 m. This small dredger structure has higher stability and can meet larger dredging depth ( about 20 m ) and longer discharge distance ( about 200 – 300 m ) . On May 15th, one customer from Cote d’Ivoire contacted us for sand pump dredger by WhatsApp. The customer wanted to dredging sand from a river, and then discharge the sand to a yard. But from the river to the yard, the vertical height is about 3 – 5 meters. For sand, there is not only fine sand, but also coarse sand. And the max. diameter is about 5 – 10 mm. This is the detailed requests as following:
- River depth: 7 m, total dredging depth 7 m.
- From the shore to the yard, the discharge distance is about 150 m. Including the distance on the river, total discharge distance will be about 200 – 240 m.
- Vertical height form the river to the yard: max. 3 – 5 m.
- Sand output: more than 60 cubic meter per hour
- Particle diameter: 5 – 10 mm
According to the above requirements, our engineers recommended the 10 inch portable sand pump dredger for the customer. The sand dredger body should be the new design ( Main hull (L * W * H ) = 4.8 m * 2.2 m * 1 m * 1 PC, side pontoon ( L * W * H ) = 6.8 m * 1 m * 1 m * 2 PCS ). Other equipment will be same as before, also including the sand pump set, water jet set, manual winch and propeller set for dredging and moving. Then we discussed with the customer for the sand pump dredger machine. The customer asked some questions and then we answered. The questions and the answers are as following.

After getting the answers, the customer asked the detailed quotation. We sent the quotation, then, he replied that they need some time for checking with their engineers. About two weeks later, the customer sent us an email for PI ( Proforma Invoice ) to order the sand pump dredger. The PI should include the price of the sand pump dredger ( 1 set ), discharge pipe ( total 250 m ) and floaters ( 15 pairs for 50 m pipe ). All the goods should be loaded into 1*40 container. We contacted the technician in the workshop who was responsible for loading. He calculated the space of all the goods and confirmed that all the goods ordered by the customer could be loaded into a 40 ft container. So, we sent the PI with payment information together.
We received a 40% advance payment of the sand dredger from the customer on June 5th. Then we arranged the production task to the workshop. The sand pump dredger was completed production on June 25th, and we did the running testing next. We sent the testing video of the sand dredger to the customer, then he paid the balance, we booked the container, and the goods was shipped on 2nd July.
