Submersible Dredger Equipped for Gold Mining Operation in Guangxi

Submersible dredger is also called submersible slurry pump dredger or submersible sand dredger. Submersible dredger is designed and manufactured with optimized hydrodynamical technology for sand dredging and silt clearing. Submersible Dredger is composed of submersible sand pump, dredger hull, hoist, anchors, generator and the cables roller, winch, etc.

Submersible dredge pump , also known as submersible sand pump, submersible slurry pump. The submersible sand pump was originally designed to be used for mine clearing of tailing ponds or small pools. Later, after a team of technical engineers from Ocean Pumps, according to customer requirements,  submersible gravel sand pump suitable for cobblestone conditions was selected, suitable for the cement layer. The submersible sand pump for operation, the submersible sand pump for high-concentration conditions, the deep-water submersible pump for deep-water work, and the submersible sand pump; the shipbuilding engineer team also designed the corresponding submersible dredger, hydraulic submersible sand pumping, and agitated submersible sand pumping. The product structure that has been too monotonous in the past is enriched to adapt to different construction conditions. Submersible Dredger have been designed and developed, put into production, assembled and operated, and the effect is very good, which has been well received by users.

A.  How to choose the submersible dredger ? 

On Jul. 11th, 2018, Guangxi Hechi customers came to our dredger building workshop and saw the submersible sand pump and the submersible  dredger being assembled, and put forward their own construction requirements:

1. Need a pump for gold dredging, there are pebbles at the bottom of the river, no large particles, no mud, and the proportion of fine sand is relatively large;
2. The output requirement is about 20-30 m3/h, and it can be pumped onto the Sand Dredger. The customer owns the screening equipment, so the output should not be too large;
3. The water depth is about 20 meters, and the rain season will reach 45 meters, so the dredge depth need be deeper .
4. No electricity nearby,  need to prepare the diesel engine generator

B. Selection process of submersible dredger

During the selection process, the team of design engineers launched a heated discussion in the two schemes of jet suction sand dredger and submerged gravel sand dredger. The first consideration is that the jet suction dredger has the advantages of mature design, low failure rate, easy maintenance, high efficiency and large output, but the disadvantages are water depth limitation, long suction gantry high, resulting in the hull must be enlarged. The second scheme is a large particle submersible dredger with ZJQ 150-25-37 pump type and ZS150 pump body and impeller structure with two 5.5 kW submersible mixers. The client approved the plan for the submersible dredger and concluded the contract.

C. Parameters of submersible dredger

The submersible dredger is a complete set of sand pumping system, the accessories equipped, and the customer proposes that the water flow at the construction site is more urgent. Therefore, three anchoring machines are equipped to drive three 200kg strong anchors, and the bow is designed as a streamlined structure. The submersible sand pump is hoisted with a 15kw hoist. The pipeline is hoisted with a 4kw hoist and equipped with a spring-loaded cable reel to ensure that the hoisting type moves up and down to avoid cable damage. The starter cabinet adopts the domestic first-line brand soft starter to ensure the continuous and stable operation of the pump.

After the cooperation of the workers, OCEAN pump assembled the whole operation platform of the submersible slurry dredger within 20 days, and tested the whole machine in the workshop and photographed the complete assembly test machine. Since the submersible dredger connection is relatively simple, only a few screws are needed. The dredger hull can be assembled, the customer can be fixed by the electric welder on site, and the power supply and piping can be connected to start production. This submersible dredger hull design structure has been affirmed by the majority of users.
